The 3rd Annual Redding Ink Tattoo Convention was held at the Redding Convention Center on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of September 2007! This is quite a step up from our previous venue. We increaased the amount of vendor booths sizeably from last year and hosted a wide variety of vendors, artists and activities.
Artists participating in the convention came from Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and all over California. |

There were a lot of firsts this year at the 3rd annual Redding Ink Tattoo Convention. We had a Tebori artist tattooing at this event! Horisuzu from Bend, Oregon came down to Cali representing Black Rabbit Tattoo. He is the only Artist in the state of Oregon currently practicing Tebori (Japanese hand tattooing). There are a very limited number of people practicing this artform in the States and Black Rabbit Tattoos is the only other tatami platform for hand tattooing on the west coast. He has studied in Japan and received the professional title of HoriSuzu from Ryugen of Tokyo, Japan.

Art Fusion is a collaborative art project created by four individual artists. Each artist begins and ends on the same piece, making it more "theirs" and they are allowed to keep those pieces. Saturday night's project — all four pieces — was auctioned with the proceeds going entirely to charities. The first Art Fusion project on Friday was spearheaded by Metamorphic Tattoo from San Jose. One piece was sold for charity at an erotic ball in Houston, TX. See some of the collaborative pieces in the galleries here. |

This year we were proud to have The Healing Art Foundation joining us at the convention. They are a wonderful organization that brings together talented tattoo artists with breast cancer survivors to help add art to their lives. They provide tattoos, permanent make-up, areola repigmentation, cover ups and a support system — all for Breast Cancer Survivors. |
